Your questions
Questions families ask us
Finding care is a big decision. Here are honest answers to the questions families ask us most often.
Finding and screening your nanny
Where do you place nannies?
We work with families across the United States. We recruit around your role and your location, so tell us where home is and what you need.
What does your screening include?
Before an introduction, we interview each caregiver, review work history, speak directly with references and complete background screening appropriate to the role. We verify identity and work eligibility, and check relevant certifications where the role calls for them. We explain what has been checked and any limits.
Can we meet before making a decision?
Yes. We arrange introductions so you can ask questions and get to know a candidate before deciding. Discuss a trial period and the working arrangement with us as part of your search.
Do we have to know exactly what we need?
No. Tell us what a typical day looks like and where you could use support. We can help you think through the arrangement before the search begins.
How long will the search take?
Most searches take a few weeks. The schedule, location and experience you are looking for all affect timing. We discuss what is realistic before your search moves forward.
Nanny fees, employment and support
What does it cost to start?
Sending a care request costs nothing and creates no obligation. We explain placement fees before you commit. The caregiver’s pay is separate from the placement fee.
What if the match does not work out?
If a placement ends within the guarantee period set out in your agreement, we search again without another placement fee. We explain the applicable terms before you commit.
Are you our nanny’s employer?
No. Trinity is a referral and placement agency. Your nanny works for your household.
Can you advise us about payroll and employment?
We can point you toward resources to help you understand the arrangement. Your household and caregiver remain responsible for their employment, tax and insurance obligations.
I am a nanny. How do I apply?
Use the contact form to introduce yourself. Tell us about your experience, references and the kind of role you are seeking.
